Turning Two or Three: Fun Party Games for Toddlers

If you're looking for some fun party games for your toddler's birthday, you've come to the right place! In this blog post, we will discuss a few different games that are perfect for toddlers. These games are simple, easy to set up, and most importantly - a lot of fun! So without further ado, let's get started.

Pin the Tail on the Donkey

One of the best party games for toddlers is called 'Pin the Tail on the Donkey'. This classic game involves each player taking turns to blindfold themselves and, with a little help from an adult, try to stick their own tail sticker as close as possible to the donkey's tail. It's great fun, and will certainly get everyone laughing!

Musical Chairs

Another popular game is 'Musical Chairs'. This game encourages energetic movement, and all you need are some chairs and some music. Set up the chairs in a circle or line facing away from each other, start playing some music, and have everyone move around in a circle. When the music stops, everyone must quickly find a chair to sit in - but there should be one less chair than the number of players. The player left without a seat is out, and the game continues until there's only one winner!

Pass the Ball

Pass the ball is another fun game for fun party games for toddlers. This game requires two players who try to pass a ball back and forth between them. The goal is to keep passing the ball without dropping it, and whoever drops it first loses.

Bubble-Popping

Most toddlers will happily chase and pop bubbles for ten minutes or longer. You can make popping bubbles into a contest to up the excitement. If a child can pop more than 20 bubbles in a minute, give them each a prize. Make the number easy to reach so that everyone will receive a gift. You can give each toddler a bubble wand or just turn on a bubble machine.

Hot Potato

Hot Potato can be played using any object like a pillow or stuffed toy, and it’s a great game for younger toddlers. Sitting in a circle, everyone passes around the hot potato whilst music plays. When the music stops, whoever is holding the potato drops out of the game. The last person left with the object in their hand wins!

Duck, Duck, Goose!

If you're looking for something a little quieter, then 'Duck Duck Goose' is perfect. In this game, all players sit around in a circle, and each takes turns to go around tapping everyone on the head - saying 'duck' as they do so. When they choose someone to be the goose, they will call out 'goose' instead of duck. Whichever child is picked as the goose must then chase after the person who tapped them and try to catch them before they get back to their seat.

These are just some of the fun party games that toddlers can enjoy! Whatever game you choose, just make sure it's age-appropriate and that everyone is having a great time. Have fun planning your toddler's special day.
